Jody Rauhut receives Golden Apple Award

Walled Lake Northern media center paraeducator, Jody Rauhut, received a Golden Apple Award at the September 5, 2024 Board of Education meeting.

Rauhut’s nominator wished to remain anonymous, but they shared that she has created such a warm, welcoming, and friendly environment within the media center.

“Jody’s motivation is tied directly to her passion for sharing a love of reading and literature with her peers and students at Northern,” wrote her nominator. “She has decorated the media center to showcase her love for literature.”

“Jody is kind and supportive of all students,” continued her nominator. “Many students seek quiet refuge in the media center during any available downtime they have during the school day. Jody asks students what they like to read and then tries to purchase books that she thinks they will like.”

Rauhut is also extremely supportive to the staff at Walled Lake Northern. She makes the building a better place to work, learn, and spend time.
